Class Descriptions

Level I

Learn body & breath awareness, basic alignment & postures, breathing techniques and deep relaxation. These are generally gentle classes. We recommend repeating this Level at least two or three times when you begin. Also appropriate as a pre-natal class.

Level II

Expands on the basics with additional postures, breathing techniques, yoga philosophy and meditation practices.

Level III

Explores more posture variations while refining awareness and deepening yoga philosophy and meditation practices. At least 1 year of yoga experience recommended.

Viniyoga I-II

Viniyoga practice links breath with movement of the spine, varying combinations of repetition and holding of postures to explore different effects. Sequences include both flows and long, deep stay. Many breathing patterns & techniques are used as preparation for pranayama. Individual adaptations and variations are emphasized in Viniyoga, depending on students’ conditions and intentions.

Yoga & Meditation

Start your day grounded and fresh with easy flowing yoga to stretch and open the body. Our yoga practice leads into about 15 minutes of meditation teachings & practice from yoga and Buddhist traditions.  Some yoga experience needed.

Notes: Please note that Level III refers to refining knowledge & awareness more often than levels of increased physicality. Our combined level classes (such as I-II) include aspects of each level. Contact Pam if you have any questions about your class.
