About WholeHeart Yoga Center
Mindful yoga is our base. We opened our doors in 1996 and offer years of experience in yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices.
Most of our teachers share roots in Kripalu Yoga, and we’re all dedicated to teaching the whole of yoga. We are certified by Kripalu or a similar in-depth training, and continue our studies and practice. Our name comes from the concept of living wholeheartedly, embracing life as it is!
We have a connection in our education and our mission with Kripalu Center in Stockbridge, Mass. Kripalu is the largest yoga and health center in North America, and where most of us trained as teachers. We are in alignment with Kripalu’s mission “to empower people and communities to realize their full potential through the transformative wisdom and practice of yoga”.
We give back to our community by donating part of our proceeds to charitable organizations each year.
One item we regularly offer for retail is our beautiful eye pillows. Made in New England, they are silk on one side, cotton prints on the other, with lavender essence. Ask your teacher or contact us to pick these up for a soothing relaxation or a great gift ($22 includes tax).
“I have learned so much from your different teachers along the way. I started yoga because my body was getting very stiff and I had arthritis in my fingers. I am very grateful that my arthritis went away and I am more flexible, strong and balanced today than 10 years ago. I am able to play football, baseball, soccer, hockey and golf with our three and four year-old grandsons.”
